Acceleration sensors BG2166 und BG2168 are used to measure movements of tower and nacelle of modern wind energy plants. This movements may arise by squalls and by movements of wind energy plant itself (i.e. imbalances) too.
In OffShore wind energy systems also pounding of waves is watched.
