An important application of senors made by Mikrotechnik und Sensorik GmbH is the measurement of movements of wind energy plants. The movement of the tower and the head strongly depends on wind force and direction.

Beside of many thousend sensors in land-based wind energy plants sensors of Mikrotechnik und Sensorik also used in offshore wind parks. Our sensors measure influences of wind and waves in systems of Alpha Ventus wind farm in the north sea. Also in offshore wind farm Shanghai Donghai Bridge our sensors are in use.
